Sovereignty of God

Who is governing the affairs of this earth today - God or the Devil? While it is generally accepted that God reigns supreme in Heaven, the notion that He exercises similar dominion over this world is almost universally denied, either directly or indirectly. Increasingly, men in their philosophical and theoretical pursuits are relegating God to the background.

Consider the material realm. Not only is it denied that God created everything through personal and direct action, but few believe that He maintains any immediate concern in regulating the works of His own hands. Instead, it is assumed that everything is ordered according to the impersonal and abstract "laws of Nature". In this manner, the Creator has been effectively banished from His own creation.

It is, therefore, unsurprising that men, in their degrading conceptions, have also excluded God from the realm of human affairs. The prevailing view is that the world operates according to its own self-sustaining mechanisms, without the direct intervention or oversight of a divine being.

This trend of diminishing God's role in the affairs of the world is not limited to the material realm; it extends to the moral and ethical spheres as well. Increasingly, individuals and societies are embracing a secular, humanistic worldview that relegates religious principles and divine authority to the periphery of human existence.

The relegation of God's influence is not merely a matter of philosophical speculation; it has tangible consequences in the way individuals and societies conduct themselves. Without the guiding light of divine wisdom and the moral framework provided by religious teachings, humanity is left to navigate the complexities of life guided solely by its own fallible reason and desires.

The result is a world that is increasingly characterized by moral relativism, ethical ambiguity, and the prioritization of individual or collective interests over the common good. The erosion of divine authority has paved the way for the ascendance of self-interest, greed, and the pursuit of power at the expense of compassion, justice, and the well-being of all.

In this context, the question of who is truly regulating the affairs of this earth - God or the Devil - takes on profound significance. If the influence of the divine is diminished, then the void left behind is inevitably filled by the forces of darkness, as the human condition succumbs to the corrosive effects of unchecked selfishness, corruption, and moral decay.

The choice before humanity is clear: to either embrace the guiding light of divine wisdom and moral authority, or to continue down the path of moral and spiritual decline, with all the attendant consequences that such a choice entails. The future of our world and the well-being of all its inhabitants hang in the balance.
